About Us
Idea Seeds is a platform to present the ancient teaching of
His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami
in a very logical and practical way for the society of this era. The Srimad Bhagavatam, literature 5000 years old, explains that “The highest truth is reality distinguished from illusion for the welfare of all”. We aim to deliver the same reality through these books which will leave the readers enchanted for rest of their lives and beyond.
The Aim of the Movement
Instituted in July 1966, ISKCON is a continuation of the Gaudiya-Vaishnava sampradāya, a monotheistic tradition within the Vedic culture of India. The aim of the movement is to acquaint people worldwide with the universal principles of God-Realisation so that humanity can derive the highest benefits of spiritual understanding, unity and peace.
The Books & Their Purpose
Srila Prabhupada’s books reveal the perfect knowledge of Sanskrit texts such as the Bhagavad Gita and the Srimad Bhagavatam. The transcendental knowledge in these books was first spoken by God. These historic texts teach us about the self, the universe and God. In essence, the ultimate goal for all living beings is to reawaken their love for God, or Lord Krishna, the “all-attractive one”. Across the world, God is known by many names including Allah, Jehovah, Yahweh and Rama. One of the names is Krishna.
The Importance of Spiritual Knowledge
The spiritual knowledge within Srila Prabhupada’s books highlights the importance of the human form of life to understand God and presents the science of God-Realisation. For example, ancient wisdom prescribes that for the present age, the most effective process for achieving self realization is to always hear about, glorify and remember God by saying the maha-mantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. Moreover, the literature explains the difference between the self and the body and provides a comprehensive understanding of the true purpose and meaning of life.
